Gorgeous Original 1940s Vintage Orange Moygashel Linen Princess Coat
This incredible coat was made in the 1940s from orange moygashel linen. It was cut in the classic princess coat silhouette of the period with a tightly nipped waist and a flared skirt. The notched lapel collar leads to a single row of eight fabric covered buttons which fasten the coat at the front and functional pockets have been cleverly hidden in the skirt seams. Pleating at the sides of the hips and large inverted pleats at the centre back add beautiful movement to the skirt whilst keeping the front flat for a super flattering line. Inside, the coat is unlined as you would expect from a lightweight piece like this and has a maker’s label for H and D Fashions as well as a Moygashel Irish Linen tag.

The coat is in very good condition with only a few very minor flaws as pictured. The original belt is no longer present.
